The Department of Geography was established in February, 2014. The teaching and research is being undertaken in the Geography Department. The laboratories are well equipped to carry out experimental work in various branches. There is a large collection of topographical maps of India and Uttarakhand. The department offers only B.A. programme. There are various interesting course for the students who wants to pursue higher education such as Physical Geography, Geography of Asia, Basic Cartographic Techniques, geomorphology, Geography of India, Map Reading and Interpretation, Climatology and Biogeography, Human Geography, Thematic Cartography, Urban Geography, Regional and planning Geography, Surveying, economic geography, Basics of GIS and Remote Sensing, Tourism. Dr. Reema Arya has been in-charge of the department since 2014. She has 01 Ph.D. student under her supervision. The department is working extensively to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge about the discipline.
