The Department of Geography was established in February, 2014 in our Campus. The teaching and research is being undertaken in the department. The laboratories are well equipped to carry out experimental work in various branches. There is a large collection of topographical maps of India and Uttarakhand.

The department offers only B.A course. There are various interesting programme for the students who wants to pursue higher education such as physical Geography, Geography of India, Urban and Rural Geography, Economic Geography, Agricultural Geography, Regional and Planning Geography, Geographical Thought, Geomorphology, Climatology and Climate Change, Biogeography, Human Geography, Remote Sensing and GIS, Surveying, Geographical Tour, Tourism, Basic Cartography and Techniques, Thematic Map, Map Reading and Interpretation, Map Scale, Coordinates, Weather Map and Equipment (such as Rain gauge, Wind vane, Anemometer, Temperature Thermometer, Barometer).

Dr. Prema Kaira has been incharge of the department since 17 December, 2024. She has completed Ph.D in Kumaun University, Nainital (Uttarakhand). The department is working extensively to provide Theoretical, Practical, Survey and Research Project knowledge about the discipline.
